Good web design

September 25, 2006
  • Clear Links - User can easily determine where the links go, and what texts/images are links
  • Colour presentation – The scheme must be consistant and be easy to read for visually impaired. Mis-match colours also make it harder to read (lime green + pink or Blue text on blue backgrounds)
  • Images – They must be revlevant, good quality whilst not having long loading times. Copyright is also an issue.
  • Font – Type and size must be readable.
  • Headings – Indicate easily where the user is.
  • Browser compatability - Various browsers available, website must work on all avaliable or limit user count.
  • Text - Not too much and presented clearly.
  • Info – How up-to-date it is, how relevant and proof it is correct.
